   Joule Labs  is a SaaS based Energy Management / Carbon Footprint applications company. Joule Labs not only helps companies collect, report, and comply with emerging Carbon Footprint/Green House Gas requirements, but it also contains sophisticated analysis, optimization, and recommendation tools for energy usage and renewable energy sources. Going to the level of building modeling, including materials analysis, geographical location, and historical weather factors, Jould Labs will do scientific physical simulation snd scenario solving, taking into account financial objectives and constraints such as ROI timeframes, CAPEX and OPEX considerations, and regulatory caps and incentives, to deliver specific recommendations on building reconfiguration, installation of photovoltaics, wind, or other energy related projects.

Joule Labs runs these intensive calculation on a large computing cloud and is the intriguiging example of a tremendously important applications category eneabled by Cloud Computing.

The current interface to Eucalyptus is compatible with Amazon's EC2, S3, and EBS interfacess an open-source software infrastructure for implementing "cloud computing" on clusters. The current interface to Eucalyptus is compatible with Amazon's EC2, S3, and EBS interfaces.
